Have you ever wished you could write down every idea in your head, regardless of where you are? Siri can be great to take a quick note or make a quick reminder, but when it comes to long-form text, Siri just doesn't cut the mustard.
If you're tired of typing everything out and would rather use your voice to dictate your text, check out these great apps for transcribing voice to text.
Evernote
Evernote is a robust note-taking app that has long been recommended for note-taking and document sharing, and best of all, you can use your voice to type. You can share notes, annotate images, and collaborate on notes so that you can be as productive as possible. - Nov 03, 2019 Apple provides no way of enrollment — or a way to train the system to better recognize one’s voice. If it makes a mistake, you can control-click on the wrong word and correct it. This uses roughly the same mechanism as most speech recognition programs to learn how you put words together, so it will get better over time. But that’s about it.
- In Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and earlier, Apple's speech recognition was voice-command oriented only, i.e. Not intended for dictation. It can be configured to listen for commands when a hot key is pressed, after being addressed with an activation phrase such as 'Computer', or 'Macintosh', or without prompt.
- Dragon Anywhere Voice recognition software on the move. Use your phone to dictate text. Round-trip to other Dragon products using cloud, share personalised commands and customised texts with other Dragon products.
- I'm Neha Agrawal, and I'm a software engineer working on speech recognition. In 2016, we introduced the Speech Recognition framework for developers to solve their speech recognition needs. For anyone who is new to this framework, I highly recommend watching this Speech Recognition API session by my colleague Henry Mason. In this video, we're going to discuss exciting new advances in the APIs.
It may not have all the features PowerPoint or Word have, but it'll certainly get you started. Plus, you can also sync across all of your devices so that you have access to your ideas no matter where you are or what device you're using.
